Amino Acids

Glycine supports the body’s ability to thermoregulate (cool down) and transition into sleep while helping maintain mental clarity after short or disrupted rest. It also helps your body produce collagen and glutathione, known as “the master antioxidant”. Found in collagen-rich foods like bone broth, connective-tissues, and slow-cooked meats.
Taurine supports antioxidant defense and muscle/nerve function. For active people, Taurine is most relevant in supporting exercise capacity, fatigue resistance, muscle soreness, and recovery from metabolic stress. Taurine is often found in energy drinks but it is not a stimulant. Its metabolic nervous system effects help reduce the “jitters” felt from caffeine and ongoing research suggests that it may reduce caffeine’s effects on the cardiovascular system. Taurine is mostly found in animal foods – especially seafood, dark poultry meat, and beef.
Theanine promotes a calm, relaxed state that helps ease the shift from alertness into rest. Numerous studies have shown that Theanine can improve attention and focus in sleep-deprived individuals.Naturally found in tea leaves, or Camellia sinensis. This includes green, black, oolong, and matcha teas. Tea contains theanine + caffeine → L-theanine is just the non-stimulating component.
Botanicals & Fruit Extracts

Tart cherry is rich in natural compounds called anthocyanins and polyphenols, which support the body’s natural sleep timing signals and recovery chain. Numerous studies have shown tart cherry to promote more restful sleep. Tart cherry supplementation has also been linked with faster muscle recovery after strenuous exercise when taken consistently in the days before exercise.Tart cherry is derived from Montmorency cherries.
Acerola extract is a potent natural source of Vitamin C as well as other plant compounds like anthocyanins and polyphenols. It supports immune function and resilience during periods of high demand. Acerola extract is derived from Acerola cherries.
Saffron contains antioxidant phytonutrients that support emotional balance, stress resilience, and steadier mood during periods of disrupted sleep and high demand. Research suggests that saffron may help the nervous system shift out of a stressed, “wired but tired” state and into a better emotional state for sleep.Saffron extract comes from the dried stigmas of the saffron flower, or Crocus sativus.
Cellular Nutrients

Myo-Inositol supports the ability to mentally unwind, especially when impacted by disrupted sleep and chronic stress. Its insulin signaling pathways may also help with glucose handling and food cravings created by poor and insufficient sleep. Some studies have shown that high caffeine use can reduce the absorption of Inositol and that taking supplemental Myo-Inositol at a different time of day can provide consistent absorption. It is present in foods like citrus fruits, beans, corn, and whole grains.
Phosphatidylcholine is a phospholipid that helps with cell membrane repair and cognitive/nervous system recovery while you sleep. It promotes brain and liver health to help you wake up feeling rested and mentally clear. It also promotes neurotransmitter production responsible for memory, attention, mood, muscle control, and nervous-system signaling. It is found in foods like sunflower seeds, egg yolks, and organ meats.
Phosphatidylserine supports the body’s response to stress while helping maintain cognitive performance during periods of high demand. Studies have shown that it may reduce cortisol when taken before sleep and may help reduce the effects of chronic stress and overtraining. It is found in foods like sunflower seeds, egg yolks, and organ meats.
Vitamin B6 supports the body’s ability to produce key neurotransmitters involved in sleep patterns and mood balance. It plays a role in the production of neurotransmitters involved in sleep, mood, and stress regulation—including serotonin and GABA. The P5P form is the active version, meaning it’s readily usable by the body. Vitamin B6 can have stimulating effects at high doses but the threshold in Cloudcraft is well below that for neurotransmitter support without stimulation. It is found in foods like poultry, fish, bananas, and potatoes.
Electrolytes & Minerals

Chloride is a naturally-occuring mineral that supports hydration and overall electrolyte balance alongside sodium and potassium. Electrolytes are a major component of muscle health and function and are depleted by activity and sweat. It is found in foods like seaweed, tomatoes, celery, and olives.
Magnesium supports physical relaxation, nervous system balance, glutathione synthesis, and deeper, more restorative sleep. Dietary magnesium deficiency is common in active, sleep-deprived people because of factors like stress, sweat, poor diet quality, and heavy stimulant use. Magnesium is delivered in many forms (glycinate, L-threonate, citrate, carbonate...) - this form is bound to a glycine molecule which is easy to digest and synergistic with the rest of the Cloudcraft formula. It is found in foods like spinach, almonds, legumes, and pumpkin seeds.
As the main extracellular electrolyte, sodium is crucial for nerve impulses, muscle contraction, and fluid balance. For active people, it matters most when sweat loss is high, shifts are long, and fluid intake is enough to offset sodium. It is found in common table salt, milk, broths, salted meats, and pickled vegetables.
Potassium is another crucial mineral electrolyte that supports fluid balance, muscle function, and recovery following physical demand and sweat loss. Recent US studies found that less than 3% of their subjects had adequate potassium present in their diets. It is found in foods like bananas, sweet potatoes, citrus fruits, yogurt, and avocados.
Zinc supports immune function, wound healing, and recovery during periods of physical stress. For active, sleep-deprived people it is essential for tissue repair, immune function, and maintaining normal recovery processes during periods of stress. Some studies have correlated smoking with zinc deficiency, and it still is unclear if other nicotine products have a similar effect.Oysters are the richest source of zinc but it is also found in many meats, beans, lentils, and dairy products. High plant diets rich in phytates can actually reduce zinc absorption somewhat.
